VOF announces $2.8 million for open-space projects

The Blue Ridge Discovery Center hosts immersive outdoor experiences out of its headquarters at the foot of Whitetop Mountain. Grants from VOF both helped open the doors to the center and make its restored habitats more accessible to visitors.
Grants from VOF’s Preservation Trust and Get Outdoors Funds are helping Friends of the Appomattox River open up pathways in the Appomattox River Trail System.
With funding from VOF’s Get Outdoors Fund in 2022, Camp Under the Stars, Inc., provided kids from the D.C. area with summer-camp experiences while building an inclusive and supportive camp community.
