VOF opens $4 million forest protection grant round in Southwest Virginia

With help from volunteers and VOF’s Get Outdoors fund, Essex County’s Rotary Poorhouse Park is set for its long-delayed grand opening.
VOF’s Appomattox River Fund supplied the trees for a new segment of the Town of Farmville’s Dogwood Trail.
On this 32-acre property, the public can connect with the New River through cleanups, fly-fishing clinics, workshops, nature walks, kayaking lessons, and more throughout the year.
