Nat’s work for VOF has him spending as much time as possible in the field, interacting with property owners and monitoring easements. He grew up playing and working on farms in Northern Virginia. After college, he led trail crews with the Student Conservation Association and AmeriCorps, living and working across America. Once he found his way to Blacksburg, he managed a local bike shop (keeping his hands dirty with landscaping and building) before joining VOF. When not working, Nat can be found puttering around the house on various projects, tromping in the woods, and wearing out a very happy little spotted dog.
