Martha oversees the stewardship of VOF’s easement portfolio and mitigation grant programs. She enjoys using her problem-solving skills to tackle a variety of issues, from policy development to conflict resolution and considers the best part of her work to be the end result: open spaces for people to enjoy, learn about, and experience nature up close. With a bachelor’s in political and social thought and a master’s in urban and environmental planning and historic preservation—both from the University of Virginia—she considers Virginia her home despite having lived abroad for many years. In her free time, Martha swims on a masters’ swim team, and enjoys sailing, cycling, and painting.
