Lucas Manweiler

Conservation Assistant

Richmond Office

Lucas joined the Eastern region stewardship team in 2020, where he uses his skills in GIS and interest in conservation to help VOF in its work. Lucas grew up in Southwestern Virginia on the North Fork of the Holston River, graduating from James Madison University in 2019 with degrees in biology and anthropology, where he focused on ecology and conservation and biological anthropology. After graduation, he took an internship with the Chicago Botanic Gardens in Buffalo, Wyoming, where he inspected oil and gas wells. Happy to be back in Virginia, he spends most of his free time hiking, taking and editing pictures, and watching television and movies.
