Bruce has been a staff attorney for VOF since 2006. He holds a bachelor’s in philosophy and music from Texas Christian University and a law degree from Duke. He served in the Vietnam War as a French linguist in the Army Security Agency. Before taking a position with VOF, he was the assistant Commonwealth’s attorney in Southampton County and city attorney for the City of Franklin. Bruce lives with his wife in Williamsburg. When not contemplating the human prospect (as explicated by Robert Heilbroner), he plays chamber music and tennis. He is a member of the Center for the Advancement of the Steady State Economy, the Post-Carbon Institute, and Negative Population Growth, Inc.
