Anna spent four years in the U.S. Army as an Arabic translator, then managed several bakeries in the Washington, D.C., area before buying her own coffee shop in Blacksburg. She ran it with her husband for 16 years, then came on as a part-time bookkeeper for VOF in 1999. She now works on the nuts-and-bolts details that keep VOF running smoothly. She enjoys cooking and reading at her home in a rural historic district in Giles County near two properties protected by VOF easements.
